This photo is from a visit to Dyrham Park in March 2011. No sign of the cat today.

Dyrham Park

We cycled to Dyrham Park mansion today from Bristol. Dyrham Park is National Trust owned and this weekend there was free entry to it and many other National Trust properties, so we went along for a look around the house and grounds. Fantastic.

I’ve been baking..

A selection of things I’ve been baking at work and at home over the past couple of weeks. I really really love baking; it’s great that I get to do it at work and I also find it very therapeutic to bake at home, and eat the results.

frittata and café things..

I made fritatta today in the café where I work, and have been photographing other things over the last few weeks to put on my blipfoto page every day. Most of my photos seem to be of food at the moment which isn’t surprising I guess as my job is cooking. I’ve got a renewed passion for it, and I’m really happy about that.

Around the New Cut

Some hdr shots taken down by the Create Centre in Bristol yesterday afternoon along the side of the New Cut; the river which was dug out by hand in 1809 to create the floating harbour in the centre of Bristol.

Meringues and other food

Here are some things I’ve been cooking, baking and digging up over the past week or so. The leek was dug up at the allotment yesterday. It was planted in May last year.
